2007 2nd prizewinner Tara Erraught sings a solo recital at the KBC Great Music in Irish Houses Festival June 16th 2012

kilruddery Irish mezzo-soprano Tara Erraught makes a return visit to the Festival following her collaboration at Killruddery House in 2009 with compatriots Hugh Tinney and John Finucane. Since then her career rise has been nothing short of meteoric with sensational débuts, critically-acclaimed roles and engagements with, amongst others, the opera houses of Munich, Hamburg, Vienna and Rome. She has already worked with distinguished artists including Jean Yves Thibaudet and Kent Negano and in the 2012/2013 season looks forward to a much-anticipated North American performance début with recitals presented under the noted auspices of the Harriman- Jewell Society, Green Music Center at Sonoma State University and the Vancouver Recital Society.

On this occasion she is partnered by the gifted German pianist, Henning Ruhe, Head of the Opera Studio and Co-ordinator of the Education Department of the Bavarian State Opera.
